Climbers are found dead in their tents as risky mission to retrieve Indian man’s body from crevasse draws criticism
Four more bodies have been discovered on Everest, raising this season’s death toll to 10, as a team of Nepalese climbers prepared for an extremely risky mission to retrieve the body of an Indian national who died at the weekend.
Ravi Kumar, who was 27, reached Everest’s summit on Saturday afternoon but died hours later after descending to around 2,500 metres (8,400ft). He was one of four people who died on the mountain at the weekend, including the American doctor Roland Yearwood and Australian climber Francesco Marchetti.
