London tube bombing arrests: five now held

Newport residents describe ‘hard-working’ suspects after three further arrests by police investigating District line explosion

Police investigating the attempted bombing of a London tube train are questioning five men and a teenage boy after carrying out three arrests in south Wales and south London in addition to the two arrests in the capital last weekend.

A 25-year-old was arrested in a Newport street on Tuesday night, and two other men, aged 30 and 48, were detained on Wednesday following a pre-dawn raid on a house in the city.
