US expresses fears Dimitris Koufodinas of November 17 leftist group, who is serving 11 life sentences for murder, could abscond

The US, UK and Turkey have condemned a decision by Greek authorities to grant 48 hours of freedom to the leader of the notorious November 17 terror group, currently serving 11 life sentences for multiple murders.

In a statement released late on Thursday, the US State Department expressed “serious concerns” that Dimitris Koufodinas could use the two-day parole to abscond.
