NSW Rural Fire Service says a number of houses were lost in Rappville, south of Casino
There are fears as many as 30 homes may have been destroyed or severely damaged by an out-of-control bushfire burning in northern New South Wales.
More than 40 fires continued to burn across NSW on Wednesday morning, including two at watch and act levels in Busby Flat and Casino.
