Psychologists monitored 373 couples over 16 years and found that couples who continuously disagree have poorer health

A bad marriage, with frequent conflicts, could be as detrimental to your health as smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol, according to psychologists.

The researchers at the universities of Nevada and Michigan monitored 373 heterosexual couples to investigate whether disagreeing about multiple topics – such as children, money, in-laws and leisure activities – had negative health implications.
