Publisher will reinstate articles to which it blocked online access in China in the face of international protests by academics

Cambridge University Press is poised to back down and re-post journal articles to which it blocked online access in China at the request of the Beijing authorities.

Tim Pringle, the editor of China Quarterly, said he had been informed by CUP that the decision was being reversed, and the blocked articles would be reinstated.
