High-rises in 15 local authority areas have failed tests prompted by Grenfell Tower blaze in which at least 79 people died

Cladding on 27 tower blocks in 15 local authority areas has failed fire safety tests, the government has said.

Local authorities across the country have been urgently assessing their tower blocks to establish whether any materials used are the same as or similar to those thought to have contributed to the Grenfell Tower fire, in which at least 79 people were killed.
