Thai island’s governor says 49 passengers unaccounted for and 48 rescued from rough seas

Forty-nine people are missing after a boat carrying dozens of Chinese tourists overturned in rough seas off southern Thailand, an official said.

Strong winds were still blowing as rescue services searched for the missing people off the tourist island of Phuket in the Andaman sea.
