Fire brigade sends at least eight crews to Metro hotel in Ballymun, north Dublin

Up to eight fire engines are fighting a blaze at a Dublin hotel tower block tonight, which has set alight around the top six storeys of the building.

The fire broke out about 7.30pm at the 15-storey Metro hotel in Ballymun in the north of the Irish capital. It is not yet known if the upper storeys of the hotel were occupied at the time the fire broke out.
