Launches, possibly in response to US-South Korea joint military exercises, appear to end in failure and did not pose a threat to Guam, says US

North Korea fired three short-range ballistic missiles early on Saturday, the US military said, with all ending in apparent failure.

Two projectiles failed in flight and a third appeared to blow up almost immediately, the US Pacific command said in a statement. None posed a threat to Guam or North America.
