Long delays and temporary closures of some pre-poll booths after ‘performance issue’ with electronic roll mark-off system

Early voting for the New South Wales election has been disrupted on Wednesday by a technical problem with the system used to mark people off the electoral roll.

Officials from several political parties told Guardian Australia they had received reports of long delays and even temporary closures of some pre-poll booths on Wednesday morning, including at Woy Woy, Ryde, Balmain and Oatley.
