ACTU survey finds 85% of people have have significant caring responsibilities but employers have no obligation to offer reduced working hours

Unions want workers to be able to reduce their hours on a temporary basis so they can cope with their caring responsibilities rather being forced into part-time or casual work.

A survey conducted for the Australian Council of Trade Unions found 85% of working Australians have significant family caring or parenting responsibilities.
