Disability rights currently safeguarded by EU legislation may be under threat, while grant funding could be withdrawn without replacement

The European Union (EU) has been influential in the development of disability rights legislation in the UK. There is now a very real danger that Brexit will result in a dismantling of human rights currently safeguarded by the European court of human rights, as well as the withdrawal of much-needed financial support from European structural and investment funds.
